Community Center thanks volunteers
The Greater Maple Valley Community Center would like to extend our warmest gratitude to Cindy Gregory of the Cedar Grill Restaurant for volunteering to prepare our wonderful meal at the 2009 Senior Valentine Dinner Dance. Cindy not only took on the huge task of preparing the meals for 120 people, but did the purchasing and service. We are so grateful to Cindy and her staff who stepped in to rescue the dance committee after the original cook was unable to attend the dance. We have had great responses from the attendees and hope the community will show gratitude by frequenting The Cedar Grill and enjoying Cindy’s wonderful menu.
We would also like to extend our gratitude to the students from Tahoma High National Honor Society.
These students were key in helping with the Maple Valley Community Center/AARP Committee put on the Valentine Dinner Dance. The students helped with set up, service and clean up by design, but most of them went out of their way to interact, dance and ensure a great time for our seniors attending the dance. Our special thanks to all who volunteered! We are so lucky to have such great citizens in our community.
