I would like to take this opportunity to clarify some allegations that were recently made. Firstly, I am honored to be running for seat No. 4 for the Black Diamond City Council. It is very important to me to be a role model to the citizens of Black Diamond as well a role model to my family.

I was surprised by a letter that painted me as having poor decision making skills. That allegation, amongst others, was made due to my efforts to get my neighborhood involved in a new community sign project. The statements made were not correct, nor verified. Within the letter it stated that I would like to see a neighbors unkempt property condemned.

That statement is false. We all live in a society that has laws, rules and regulations that protect property owners rights. I am a strong believer in civil liberties and that is why I am running for City Council to represent my fellow citizens.

My stance: if anyone is violating a law, they should be subject to the penalties imposed for breaking that law. We all must obey laws to have an orderly and functioning society.

I will listen, work hard and honestly represent you and work with the council and the citizens of Black Diamond to make the right choices for you.
