Kentwood junior Cassidy Meyers conquered the 118 bracket in the girls tournament at Mat Classic XXIV Feb. 17-18 at the Tacoma Dome.

Meyers started out with a technical fall over Olivia Adams of Blaine, pinned Mariana Alvarez of Royal in the second round, narrowly beat Aika Mitchell of Lakeside 8-7 in the semifinals then defeated Taylor Graham of Burlington Edison 4-1 in the final.

Cassidy placed sixth at state as a freshman and fourth last year.
