Tahoma boys and girls teams wins meet against Auburn-Riverside, Kentridge | Cross country

The Tahoma boys and girls cross country teams won their first dual meets of the season against Auburn-Riverside and Kentridge.
Bears boys outran both Auburn-Riverside and Kentridge 19-44.
The Chargers boys beat Auburn-Riverside 24-35.
The Bears girls team beat Auburn-Riverside 17-44 and the Chargers 15-50.
The Chargers girls team lost to Auburn-Riverside 20-35.
The Bears boys varsity team was packed with upperclassmen, with senior James Dagley taking first place at 16 minutes, 33 seconds. Senior Travis Scacco and took fourth at 17:08, while fellow seniors Merrit Kropelnicki and Riley Campbell both finished at 17:13, taking fifth and sixth place respectively. Jacob Larsen took seventh after crossing the finish line at 17:17.
Senior Brendan Newell took eighth at 17:20, while freshman Tristan Houser placed ninth at 17:47.On the Bears girls team, senior Elizabeth Oosterhout took first with a time of 20:08. Sophomores Abby Atchison and Delaney Tiernan placed second and third, crossing the finish line at 20:25 and 20:27 respectively. Junior Cheyenne Greenside took fifth with a time of 21:15, while sophomore Amanda Kiefer placed sixth at 21:18. Freshman Abby Oosterhout placed eighth, finishing at 21:21. Junior Maddy Dennis took ninth with a time of 21:38.
Chargers girls sophomore Kyra Kaiser placed 10th with a time of 21:38.
Chargers boys senior Sterling Bath took third with a time of 17:06.
