Support Kent School District teams by buying Thunderbirds tickets for Nov. 21 game
The Thunderbirds Community Sports Foundation has launched a Support A Sport Event for Kent School District athletic programs.
The Support A Sport event is a fundraising opportunity for the Kent School District through the Seattle Thunderbirds hockey team's foundation. Students, teachers, staff, parents and friends of Kent high schools and middle schools can purchase T-Birds tickets to the game at 7:05 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21 against the Kootenay Ice at the ShoWare Center, to earn funding for the school of their choice.
The full purchase price of a $24 T-Birds ticket will be donated to the Kent school of the purchaser's choice, with $12 per ticket donated by the T-Birds and $12 matched by the Thunderbird Community Sports Foundation.
The Kent School District has the opportunity to receive $72,000 through the Support A Sport event.
Click the "Buy Now" button on the foundation website at thunderbirdsfoundation.com to start the ticket purchase process to support Kent school district teams. Purchasers will be given an opportunity to select the school they wish to support when purchasing tickets.
Note the purchase instructions below the "Buy Now" button as fans will need to follow these as seats are selected and the choice of which school to support is made. The seating assignments for schools are suggested to group students and families of the same schools together. It is not necessary to sit in your school section in order to support the school of your choice.
The Thunderbird Community Sports Foundation promotes good health, physical education, and academic achievement by providing scholarships and grants for amateur athletes in the Puget Sound Region. The funding allows athletes to participate in athletic competitions in team and individual sports, as well as providing grants to local youth and amateur sports associations for equipment and facilities for use in our community.
The foundation has awarded $118,567 to athletic groups since its inception in 2009.
