Seattle FBU eighth grade makes it to championship

The Seattle Eighth Grade team, which has players from Kent and Covington, made it to the Football University national championship game Saturday but lost 31-0 to GFL Georgia. In the semifinals, Seattle held off St. Louis, 6-3, last Friday. St. Louis’ 47-yard game-tying field goal fell just short in the final minute.

Jacob Sirmon’s 14-yard pass to wide receiver Micah Smith with 2:45 mark left in the first quarter proved to be the game’s only touchdown.
