Kentwood senior Lindsey Moore has been invited to participate in the USA Basketball Women's U19 team trials set for next week.

Moore is among 27 of the country's top 27 women's basketball players in the U19 who have been invited to the try outs in Colorado Springs, Colo. Athlete invitations were extended by the USA Basketball Women's Junior National Team committee, according to the team's site, www.usabasketball.com.

Coaches will eventually whittle the team roster down to 12 with training camp slated to begin July 8. The team is a two time defending FIBA U19 World Championship gold medalists.

Moore will be playing basketball at the University of Nebraska next year after leading the Kentwood team to its first ever girls team title in March.
