Falcons lose four in a row | Kentlake Softball

The Kentridge Chargers come to town today for a 4 p.m. game

The Kentlake girls softball team has lost four in a row after winning its first game of the season 19-1 over Todd Beamer March 14.

The latest loss came Tuesday when the girls traveled to Federal Way to face the Eagles — Kentlake lost 8-2.

The girls lost its game Monday 13-12 to Decatur.

Heading into the bottom of the fifth inning, the girls trailed 7-2. Kentlake scored three in the bottom of the fifth, bringing them within two.

The Gators scored three runs in both the top of the sixth and seventh innings — increasing its total score to 13.

The Falcons scored one in the bottom of the sixth and rallied behind six runs in seventh but fell one run short of forcing extra innings.

The girls were scheduled to play a non league game Wednesday against Wilson, after The Reporter’s press deadline.

The Falcons return home Friday, weather permitting, for a league match up against the Kentridge Chargers. The first pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m.

Tahoma

The Bears are off to a 1-3 start to the 2017-2018 season.

The girls only win came Tuesday when the Bears beat Enumclaw 12-5.

Tahoma will travel to Kent today, Friday, March 23 for a 4 p.m. game against Kent-Meridian.

Kentwood

The Conquerors have played two games so far this season and are currently 1-1.

The girls lost its season opener 12-5 to Auburn Riverside March 14 and won its latest game 7-6 to Auburn Mountainview Tuesday.

Kentwood will play a league game at Kennedy Catholic 4 p.m. today, Friday, March 23.
