The new season began on the road for Tahoma, Kentwood and Kentlake.

The Falcons won 34-20 over Auburn Mountainview Friday but the Bears and Conks lost. Tahoma fell 34-17 to Federal Way and Kentwood lost 31-7 to Woodinville.

KENTLAKE

After Auburn Mountainview went up 6-0 on a touchdown with an unsuccessful two point conversion, the Falcons took control of the game.

Kentlake scored the next four times in the first half. One on a 40 yard passing touchdown and the other three scores were touchdown runs.

At the half, the Falcons led by 20, 26-6.

There was no score in the third. The Lions scored twice in the fourth but it wasn’t enough.

With Kentlake scoring one more time before the game was over, it took the led and held onto it.

Up next for the Falcons as it heads home to French Field are the Enumclaw Hornets. The game is set for 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10.

The North Puget Sound League 4A Cascade division is currently divided in half.

Four teams sit tied for first place after one game and the remaining four teams are 0-1.

The Bears were away for the second consecutive week when it traveled to Auburn Memorial Stadium to face the Auburn Trojans. The game was played Thursday.
