Relays continued to be a strong point for Kentlake’s girls swim team at the 4A swim and dive championships at the King County Aquatic Center where the Falcons finished seventh.

Relays continued to be a strong point for Kentlake’s girls swim team at the 4A swim and dive championships at the King County Aquatic Center where the Falcons finished seventh.

Kentlake started the meet out with a second place finish in the 200 yard medley relay. Emily Tanasse led off, followed by Laura Williams and Kyndal Phillips while Danielle Brooks anchored the relay, which finished in 1 minute, 49.12 seconds.

In the 200 free relay the Falcons finished fifth, posting a time of 1:40.30, with the same four girls but in a different order.

Phillips added a fourth place finish in the 200 IM, touching the wall in 2:07.95 while Tanasse finished fourth in the 100 butterfly with a time of 56.87 seconds.

Tanasse, who is a senior, added a fourth place finish in the 100 backstroke. She touched the wall in 57.07 seconds.

In the 200 freestyle Kentwood’s Natalie Lesnick finished eighth with a time of 1:57.88.

Lesnick also won the consolation final of the 500 free, coming in at 5:16.61.

Bella Chilczuk, a senior from Kentridge, finished eighth in the 500 free final with a time of 5:19.99.
