Tahoma’s fastpitch team is on a roll having won eight straight since its first league loss to Kentwood a month ago.
Winning streaks abound and not just Kentwood’s which stands at 18 but teams like Tahoma which has won four straight as well as Kentridge which had four victories out of its last five games.
The Bears boys and girls track teams have got something good going on.
With an undefeated league season so far, they are entering into the league meet with victories against Kent-Meridian boys and Kentwood girls teams, both of them last year’s state champions. Last week, the Bears boys and girls defeated the Conks 98-47 and 82-68
Kentridge boys track and field team placed 10th out of 57 teams at the Shoreline Invitational this past weekend.
Senior Talon Abernathy took sixth in the two mile with a time of nine minutes, 21.16 seconds, breaking his previous personal record by 23 seconds, as well as the school’s two mile record.

The Tahoma boys and girls track team won the Tomahawk Track and Field Classic this past weekend at Quil Ceda Stadium in Marysville.

The Tahoma boys and girls track and field team maintained their undefeated league season after beating Kentwood on Wednesday.
The Kentlake boys and girls and Kentirdge girls track and field team competed at the Bellevue Invitational on Saturday April 21 at Bellevue High. Kentlake boys placed 12th out of 26 teams. Kentridge and Kentlake girls placed 13th and 17th respectively out of 29 teams.
While Kentwood’s baseball team has conquered the South Puget Sound League North division there is a battle going on between Tahoma and Kentlake for second place.

The aptly named Class Included returned in fine style Saturday with a one-length victory over stable mate Sweet Nellie Brown in the $21,500 Dreyer’s Purse for older fillies and mares at Emerald Downs.
