Tahoma High School’s Colton Dean, basketball, was selected as the Covington Maple Valley Reporter’s Male Athlete of the Week for Jan. 25.

Q: What is your favorite subject in school?

A: Sports Medicine

Q: What other activities do you participate in?

A: I enjoy fishing, playing all sports and hanging with friends and family.

Q: Person who has helped you succeed the most?

A: My dad — he encourages me the most.

Q: Do you have a pre- or post-game tradition? What is it?

A: Pregame — I listen to my playlist and get my mind right for the game.

Q: Song you currently can’t get enough of?

A: “Going Bad,” by Meek Mill (feat. Drake)
