Reporter Athlete of the Week: Colton Natwick

Tahoma High School’s Colton Natwick, swim, was selected as the Covington Maple Valley Reporter’s Male Athlete of the Week for Feb. 8.

Q: What is your favorite subject in school?

A: Math

Q: What other activities do you participate in?

A: I swim, a lot.

Q: Person who has helped you succeed the most?

A: My mother and father

Q: Do you have a pre- or post-game tradition? What is it?

A: Before I get on the blocks, I take several deep breaths and envision the race.

Q: Song you currently can’t get enough of?

A: “Lot to learn” by Luke Christopher

From the Sideline

“This is Colton’s second year on the year on the team. Last year he swam on the 400 free relay at state. This year he has dropped a considerable amount of time and took first at league in the 200 free and has made a district time in all of his individual races. Colton also is a key player on all of our relays. Without Colton, our relay would not be as fast. Colton is highly motivated to do well and takes the time to work with newer swimmers on our team.”
