Tahoma High School’s Elsie Rochleau, gymnastics, was selected as the Covington Maple Valley Reporter’s Female Athlete of the Week for Jan. 11.

Q: What is your favorite subject in school?

A: Spanish

Q: What other activities do you participate in?

A: Archery golf, babysitting, photography and church activities

Q: Person who has helped you succeed the most?

A: My sister, Emma, and my mom

Q: Do you have a pre- or post-game tradition? What is it?

A: Before and after meets we do our team chant

Q: Song you currently can’t get enough of?

A: “Speechless” by Dan & Shay or “The weekend” remix by SZA & Calvin Harris

“Elsie is a great student taking an AP class while keeping a 3.8 GPA. She did her tumbling pass she’s been fearful of and she makes sure to cheer her teammates on the entire meet. She is a great addition to the varsity gymnastics team.”
