Kentlake High School’s Jalen Taylor, basketball, was selected as the Covington Maple Valley Reporter’s Male Athlete of the Week for Nov. 23.

Q: What is your favorite subject in school?

A: Chemistry

Q: What other activities do you participate in?

A: Playing video games with my game clan M.E.J.J.Z.

Q: Person who has helped you succeed the most?

A: I would say my mother because she always makes me strive to be the best I can.

Q: Do you have a pre- or post-game tradition? What is it?

A: My pre-game ritual is praying with my family and friends.

Q: Song you currently can’t get enough of?

A: “Nobody,” by Keith Sweat
