Tahoma High School’s Kimball Cottam, basketball, was selected as the Covington Maple Valley Reporter’s Male Athlete of the Week for Dec. 14.

Q: What is your favorite subject in school?

A: Seminary

Q: What other activities do you participate in?

A: Photography and the great outdoors

Q: Person who has helped you succeed the most?

A: Nick Bennett, my mentor, who is a basketball extraordinaire.

Q: Do you have a pre- or post-game tradition? What is it?

A: I always, always start off a game day with a PGP.

Q: Song you currently can’t get enough of?

A: “Jingle Bells” by Michael Buble
