A sketch of a suspect involved in a assault against a Kentlak High School student was released by the King County Sheriff’s Department on Wednesday, May 15.
On Thursday, May 2 around 2:40 p.m., a 15-year-old female was walking home on a neighborhood trail near Kentlake High School.
As she was walking, a man grabbed onto the victim’s crotch.
The suspect is described as a man in his 30’s – 40’s, 5 feet 6 inches tall, brown skin, unshaven and was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and black sweatpants at the time, according to Sgt. Ryan Abbott from the King County Sheriff’s Department. Additional information released on Wednesday described the man with dark hair that was wavy at the top, a scar on his right eyebrow and a green tattoo on the left side of his neck.
He said the victim was able to use her backpack to hit the suspect off of her and then she fled back to the high school where she told her friends and then her mom who called the principal.
Deputies were advised a few hours later and detectives responded to the scene, Abbott said.
Anyone with information about the incident or the suspect is asked to call the King county Sheriff’s Office at 206-296-3311.
