Falcons fall in second round of state

The Kentlake girls were outscored 26-0 in the second half Thursday

The Kentlake girls beat Lake Stevens Wednesday 57-42 in the first round of the state tournament.

The Falcons opened up round two play against Central Valley Thursday and lost 61-16.

The girls went scoreless in the second half.

Aniston Denckla had a team high 11 points. And Anna Kruse scored the other five points for the Falcons.

Kentlake’s season continues with a 9 a.m. match up Friday, March 2 against University at the Tacoma Dome.

The winner of that game goes on to play a seeding game Saturday.
