Reporter Athlete of the Week: Adaji Osaro-Igwe

Tahoma High School’s Adaji Osaro-Igwe, girls track, was selected as the Maple Valley Reporter’s Female Athlete of the Week for April 19.

Q: What is your favorite subject in school?

A: My favorite school subject is biology because I enjoy learning about the human body.

Q: What other activities do you participate in?

A: I played soccer for five years before I started track. I like playing soccer with my little brothers.

Q: Person who has helped you succeed the most?

A: My track coach, Coach Blake. He supports me during practices and track meets. He tells me to be patient, to

trust the process and encourages me to be the best athlete that I can be.

Q: Do you have a pre- or post-game tradition? What is it?

A: My pre-meet ritual is reading because it relaxes me. After a meet I like to eat carbs, fruits and veggies.
